Texas whitewater, Medina River Bandera county, Medina to Bandera Falls section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS II     27 miles   We have a time share in Bandera Texas and are a family of six (2 adults, 4 kids ages 17, 16, 15, and 8). We would love to do a white water rafting trip with them next summer but aren't familar enough with the area to choose the correct spot. Could you assist? My mother notified a park employee who said he would take care of it.     He drove off and we never saw him again. here is a picture of the duck. I really hope something can be done to help this poor injured duck. The nature scenery of Texas and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. This section of Medina River is 27 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II section of whitewater. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are not so many other good rivers for that around here. There are some good sections   to paddle in this river system, the Medina to Bandera Falls section is one of them. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that quite a few of the sections in this state are pretty easy. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people.
