Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Texas are easier than the national norm, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the rivers in this state are not very demanding. The wonderful Bosque County scenery
| and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. The Bosque Cty Road 347 to SH 6 stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. The campgrounds here at Meridian Creek are pretty good. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, but you'd better reserve in | |

advance because these hotels fill up quick. This is a pretty decent length section, good for a one day paddling trip. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Granbury, if you're not familiar with the area there's
a road map further down the page. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of places for that.
Briefly about the general area: Here at Meridian Creek there are plenty of people
from Meridian, and don't leave Meridian Creek without first going for a hike along the Meridian State Park Trail. A spree to Meridian State Park invigorates the spirit, and there's great hiking along the Bosque Trail.
