  The starting point is not too far from Stephenville, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Texas tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers in this state are not as hard as elsewhere. This stretch of North Bosque River in Hamilton Bosque County is 14 miles long and has been determined by American
    Whitewater to be a class I-II section. If you hurry you can run this section in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so go ahead and pack your camp stove. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you
won't find a large number of other places. There arenít any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. The wonderful Texas scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight  
on the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby.

There are plenty of folks from Iredell here at North Bosque River. North Bosque River gets a common amount of yearly precipitation. May is the wettest month with most rain, and December is when it's the driest. Summertime highs at North Bosque River usually tend to be in the 90's while overnight lows are regularly in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to North Bosque River.
