This section of Paluxy River in Summervell County is 10 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The starting location is a short drive from Granbury, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road
    map further down the page. No shortage of good hotels, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. You can pitch a tent or park
your RV at a nearby campground. The natural beauty of Summervell County and the cool fresh water attract people from near and far. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with not too many other spots for that. You can enjoy this section more if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff.
