The natural beauty of Brewster County and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so pack your camping stuff. The Talley to Solis section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. There aren’t     any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. When you're paddling down a Chisos Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. Summer at Rio Grande comes with high temperatures in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
