The scenic beauty of Bosque County and the playfulness of the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. | day but why not make it an overnighter, so pack your camping stuff. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. is a great place to visit. There is a glorious hiking trail close to Steele Creek called the Meridian State Park Trail. From a rain point of view Steele Creek is a relatively normal site. The wettest month of the year is
frequently May, that's the one that rains the most while December is frequently the driest month. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Steele Creek. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 70's.
