The starting location is a short drive from Dallas -Fort Worth-Arlington, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this     is an area with not too many other rivers for that. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This is a bit of a short stretch so no need to bring snacks. The scenic beauty of Texas and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so don't forget that many of the rivers in this state are not very demanding.
