Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling spots. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This is a pretty   decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. The river winds through the Wasatch Range and you get great scenery. Briefly about the general area: Don't leave Big Cottonwood Creek without first paying a visit to Dry Creek Spring, and why not head up to Snowbird and strap some skis to your feet.
