The Bridge to confluence with East Fork section of Blacks Fork - West Fork is 3.5 miles long and is a class I-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The put-in location is a short drive from Evanston, please print out a copy of the road     map further down the page so you won’t get lost. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This is a short paddling stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you won't find a large number of other places. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. The beautiful Uinta Mountains scenery is an added bonus. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. The wonderful   Summit County scenery and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The campgrounds here at Blacks Fork - West Fork are pretty good. Briefly about the general area: Hiking along the Bear River Smiths Fork Trail is nice fun, and you'll perhaps meet some people from Robertson here. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Uinta Mountains. Going for a hike along the High Line Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. Ashley National Forest is a great location. The warmest time of the year at Blacks Fork - West Fork comes with high temperatures in the 80's with night lows in the 40's.
