The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Price, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This stretch of Cottonwood Creek in Emery County is 6 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class     III-IV section. There's camping available near Cottonwood Creek. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you won't find a large number of other spots. The nature scenery of Utah and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great. This stretch has has enough mileage, good for a one day paddling trip. There are a few other stretches in this river system that   can be paddled as well. Briefly about the general area: A spree to Millsite State Park when you're here at Cottonwood Creek is never a bad idea, and a cool spot to stop at is Clay Banks. You unquestionably should stop at Manti-LaSal National Forest while you're here at Cottonwood Creek, and folks from Clawson love to come here. This is such a fun river. Don't leave Cottonwood Creek without first going for a hike along the CCC Trail. While staying at Cottonwood Creek you could always explore Clay Banks Swale. Cottonwood Creek is frequently a relatively dehydrated location.
