Utah whitewater, Currant Creek Duchesne Wasatch county, Dry Hollow to Strawberry River section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS I-II     25 miles   This stretch of Currant Creek is 25 miles long and has been rated as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Utah you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the sections in this state are safe for beginners. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t     have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. The wonderful Duchesne/ Wasatch County scenery and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your camp stove too. The put-in is not too far from Price, as you can see on the road map further down. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The river winds through the Uinta Mountains and you get great scenery. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend   some time outdoors are great reasons to come. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. Briefly about the general area: There are plenty of folks from Fruitland here at Currant Creek. It is very dehydrated here at Currant Creek frequently. Throughout the month of February you get the most snow around here while June is usually the driest month. Through the warmest time of the year at Currant Creek temperatures are regularly in the 80's while overnight lows are typically in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Currant Creek.
