Utah whitewater, East Canyon Creek Morgan county, Jeremy Ranch to 66 Bridge section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS I-II     16.5 miles   Checked this out and looked at the river near the lake.  The river isn't very big and would have been hitting rocks and portaging way to much for this to be any fun. This section of East Canyon Creek in Morgan County is 16.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I-II section. The scenic beauty of Morgan County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here     to paddle. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Whitewater paddling here in the Wasatch Range is a great experience. If you hurry you can run this section in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so pack your camping stuff. The Jeremy Ranch to 66 Bridge section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers in this state are not as hard as elsewhere. If you're coming from Salt Lake City it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, if you're   not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. The campgrounds here at East Canyon Creek are pretty good. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good rivers for that around here. Briefly about the general area: A day on the slopes of The Canyons is just what you need; Rockport State Park is a pleasant spot to stretch your legs a bit.
