The put-in location is a short drive from Price, as you can see on the road map further down. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a lot of the rivers in this state are suitable for beginners. general area: Manti-LaSal National Forest is a fine place to explore, and you can have a fine hiking adventure along the Blue Trail. A great place to check out next to Ferron Creek is Biddlecome Hollow; places like Millsite
State Park are delightful to go to. This river is so wonderful. You're sure to come across some friendly folks from Ferron here, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Dry Wash Trail. Ferron Creek gets very little
rainfall. The wettest month of the year is ordinarily March, that's the one that rains the most, and June is when it's the driest. At Ferron Creek through the months of summer highs are in the 80's.
