If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a lot of the rivers in this state are suitable for beginners. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. You might have     to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The wonderful Utah scenery and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. This stretch is mid length, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with not too many other rivers for that. The to Millsite Reservoir stretch of Ferron Creek in Utah is 4.5 miles long and has been rated as a class II-IV section by American Whitewater. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. Briefly about the   general area: Manti-LaSal National Forest is a fine place to explore, and you can have a fine hiking adventure along the Blue Trail. A great place to check out next to Ferron Creek is Biddlecome Hollow; places like Millsite State Park are delightful to go to. This river is so wonderful. You're sure to come across some friendly folks from Ferron here, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Dry Wash Trail. Ferron Creek gets very little rainfall. The wettest month of the year is ordinarily March, that's the one that rains the most, and June is when it's the driest. At Ferron Creek through the months of summer highs are in the 80's.
