  The beautiful scenery of Utah and the water flowing gracefully down Fremont River attract people from near and far. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Utah are easier than the national norm, so keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you won't find many other paddling rivers. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad
    you came. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Price, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The Torrey to Waterfall stretch of Fremont River in Wayne County is 16
miles long and is a class III-V+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Torrey to Waterfall section is one of them. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. For all you camping  
people there are campgrounds nearby.

Briefly about the general area:
On a good day at Fremont River you can take a hike along the Stair Trail. Capitol Reef National Park is a very wonderful place to stop by near Fremont River, and you'll perhaps meet some people from Torrey here. This is such a great river. Calf Canyon is close to Fremont River and is a great spot. For the period of the summer months, highs regularly are in the 80's at Fremont River. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are typically in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Fremont River.
