  The wonderful Cache County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Logan River make the trip here worthwhile. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Logan, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. This stretch is mid length, it's good length for a morning trip. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay
    the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state
is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that quite a few of the sections in this state are pretty easy. Whitewater paddling here in the Wasatch Range is a great experience. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with not too many other places for that. The Ricks Springs to Preston Valley Campgroumd stretch of Logan River in Cache County is 9.5 miles long and has been rated as  
a class II-V section by American Whitewater. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the Ricks Springs to Preston Valley Campgroumd stretch is one of them.

Briefly about the general area:
On a glorious day at Logan River you can take a hike along the Limber Pine Trail; Logan River is a place with many visitors from Logan. So many entertaining things to do here in the Wasatch Range, too good to be true. There is a good hiking trail in the neighborhood of Logan River called the Hardware Ranch Trail, and while you're here, you might as well check out Cottonwood Canyon.
