If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers in this state are not as hard as elsewhere. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are not so many other good places for that around here. The river     winds through the Book Cliffs and you get great scenery. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The Woodside to confluence with Green River section of Price River in Emery County is 16 miles long and has been rated as a class III-V section by American Whitewater. The beautiful scenery of Utah and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so why not pack your camping stuff too. There   aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Briefly about the general area: A good location to explore in the vicinity of Price River is Long Canyon, and Green River State Park is a beautiful location any time of year. So much fun stuff in the Book Cliffs, just remarkable. It is very waterless here at Price River typically. The wettest month of the year is usually September, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is January.
