Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has     a pretty small number of paddling spots. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Now this is a pretty long section, perfect for a real wilderness adventure. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. The nature scenery of -blank- County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Briefly   about the general area: A spree to San Juan River wouldn’t be complete without a spree to close by Goosenecks State Park, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Honaker Trail. While you're here at San Juan River you can take a hike along the Government Trail. Summer brings highs in the 90's to San Juan River with nighttime lows in the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's, and night lows in the 20's for San Juan River. It is very dry here at San Juan River generally. All through August this area sees the most rain, and June is when it's the driest.
