The beautiful scenery of Duchesne County and the water flowing gracefully down Uinta River attract people from near and far. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots
in Utah tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. There's camping available near Uinta River. No matter if you're whitewater rafting
or kayaking this area has a pretty small number of paddling rivers. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. The wild scenery of the Uinta Mountains is great. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches
in this river system, there are a few others too. This stretch is mid length, it's good length for a morning trip.

Briefly about the general area:
Uinta River is not far at all from Neola; the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Trail Spring. Now, you may think that's heaps but there's even more cool things to do here in the Uinta Mountains. A tour to Harmston Canyon is always fun, and don't leave Uinta River without first going for a hike along the Shale Dugway. If you come to this river you will have a good time for sure. All through the summertime at Uinta River highs are regularly in the 80's.
