The put-in location is a short drive from Evanston, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so better not forget that many of the rivers in this state are not very demanding. The wonderful Duchesne County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming |
here. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Swift Creek to Reservoir section is one of them. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem
| but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The Uinta Mountains scenery is wonderful. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of places for that. This is a bit of a short stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times.
Briefly
about the general area: Put some time aside to spend at Aspen Spring since you're here at Yellowstone River. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Shale Dugway, and Cow Canyon is a magnificent site to spend some
time. This river is always fun. Hiking along the Fish Creek National Recreation Trail is great fun It's always perfect to take a look at Grants Spring.
