Some swift water lots of current to assist in this 10 to 12 mile trip all paddlers agree this was awesome. The beautiful scenery of Windsor County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more forgiving than the national average,   so you'd better keep in mind that many of the sections in this state are safe for beginners. The campgrounds here at Connecticut River are pretty good. This stretch is very short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Whitewater paddling here in the Green Mountains is a great experience. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Sumner Falls section is one of them. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. There are many good hotels to choose from, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
