CLASS II     10 miles
  This stretch of Lewis Creek in Chittendon / Addison County is 10 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II section of whitewater. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Vermont are often easier than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. The starting point is not too far from Burlington-South Burlington, as you can see on the road map further
    down. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. The Prindle Corner to Lake Champlain section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. The nature
scenery of Chittendon / Addison County and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. You can enjoy this stretch more if you take your time, so why not pack your camp stove too. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good spots.  
For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby.

Briefly about the general area:
Kingsland Bay State Park is a great spot to explore, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Lewis Creek; Abbey Pond Trail is a delightful local trail. Places like Mt. Philo State Park are wonderful to visit, and during your visit here you'll meet some people from North Ferrisburg for sure. If you come to this river you will have a good time for sure. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Beaver Meadow Trail. Lewis Creek gets a normal amount of rainfall. Most of the rain falls through August; February meanwhile is the driest month.
