  The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that quite a few of the sections in this state are pretty easy. The Jericho stretch of Mill Brook in Vermont is 5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-III+(V) section. The starting point is not too far from Burlington-South Burlington, if you're not
    familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. On this section you do get some distance,
it's perfect for a one day trip. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The scenic beauty of Chittenden County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. The Green Mountains scenery is wonderful. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system,  
the Jericho stretch is one of them. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.

Briefly about the general area:
Gotta ski! Cochran Ski Center is a wonderful location to do that, and Mill Brook is a site with many visitors from Jericho. Man, is there plenty of entertaining stuff to do in the Green Mountains. Places like Little River State Park are delightful to explore, and the Nose Dive Trail offers hiking at its best. This is such a fun river. Underhill State Park is a striking location any time of year; hiking is a popular thing to do around Mill Brook; Beane Trail is a pleasant local trail.
