CLASS I-III     8 miles
I have been to the Ompomp 2 different years... expect to drag your kayak/canoe through shallow water & gravel, and over full size trees that blow over. ...Not worth the trip. Says Roger Dolcetti

The starting point is not too far from Lebanon, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Vermont are often easier than in other states, so keep in

Briefly about the general area:
Take some time to go to West Fairlee Municipal Forest while you're here; there are plenty of folks from Post Mills here. So many amusing things in the Green Mountains, just tremendous. Go for a hike on the Wrights Mountain Trail, and good hiking is available along the Dartmouth Outing Club Trail.
