  The North Wardsboro to West River section of Wardsboro Brook in Windham County is 4.5 miles long and has been rated as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. The starting location is a short drive from Bennington, as you can see on the road map further down. The river winds through the Green Mountains and you get great scenery. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but
    you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. On this section you do get some distance, it's perfect for a one day trip. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large
number of good spots. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the North Wardsboro to West River section is one of them. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The scenic beauty of Windham County and the playfulness of the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. If you've been out of state whitewater  
rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so keep in mind that many of the rivers in this state are not very demanding.

Briefly about the general area:
Wardsboro Brook is not far at all from Wardsboro, and Molly Stark State Park is worth a visit. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! The Green Mountains is great! Hiking along the Overlook Trail is splendid fun; obviously, everybody loves Jamaica State Park. At this river you will never have a bad time. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Magic Mountain is in the neighborhood of Wardsboro Brook, and you can have a splendid hiking adventure along the Railroad Bed Trail.
