This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. On this section you do get some distance, good for a one day paddling trip. a great adventure. All the outdoors exciting things in the Green Mountains will keep you coming back again and again. There's a good forest right next door to Winhall River called Winhall Town Forest, and nearby you locate the Hamilton Falls Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail.
