If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so don't forget that quite a few of the sections in this state are pretty easy. The campgrounds here at Big Cedar Creek are pretty good. The scenic beauty of Virginia and the cool fresh     water will make you feel great. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Lebanon to Clinch River section is one of them. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Bristol, as you can see on the road map further down. No need to look hard for hotels, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Big Falls is always fun to check out, and why not take a refreshing hike along the The Lonesome Pine Trail. This is such a wonderful river.
