The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so don't forget that quite a few of the sections in this state are pretty easy. There's camping available near Briery Branch. You can enjoy this stretch more if you take your time, so why not pack your camp stove too. There are many     good hotels to choose from, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling rivers. The Briery Branch Dam to North River section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. The starting point is not too far from Harrisonburg, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Briefly about the general area: There are plenty of people from Mount Solon here at Briery Branch, and close by you discover the Mud   Pond Gap Trail which is a good hiking trail. The Narrow Buck Trail is a glorious hiking trail in close proximity to Briery Branch. Briery Branch is a good spot of common rain. Of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. During the long summer days here at Briery Branch, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's while night lows are frequently in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Briery Branch.
