You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, you can easily run it on an afternoon. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. The campgrounds here at Buck Mountain Creek are pretty good. If you come to this river you will have a good time for sure. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Buck Mountain Creek, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
