The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Hagerstown-Martinsburg, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The scenic beauty of Virginia and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. The SR 663 to Potomac Confluence section is one of a few     paddling sections in this river system. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon.
