If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so better not forget that rivers in this state are not as hard as elsewhere. This section of Hunt's Branch is 0.7 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class V+ section. Getting a good workout and     just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. This is an extremely short section so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. When you're paddling down a Cumberland Plateau Mountains river   like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. If you're coming from Bristol it's not a long drive at all to the starting location. Briefly about the general area: Breaks Interstate Park. is a scenic place any time of year, and do schedule some time to pop by Garden Hole if you have a chance. So many amusing things in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, just incredible. The great people of Breaks like to hang out close by; what would a place like Hunt's Branch be without interesting close by marks like The Breaks. This river is so wonderful.
