Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Virginia is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a lot of the rivers in this state are suitable for beginners. The beautiful scenery of -blank- County and the water flowing gracefully down Scott's Run are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle.     Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. This is the only paddling stretch along Scott's Run. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This stretch of Scott's Run is -blank- miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class IV-V section of whitewater. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of spots for that. No shortage of good hotels, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Briefly about the general area: Why not take a refreshing hike along the Potomac Heritage Trail, and of course,   all our national parks are pleasant locations to check out and Wolf Trap Farm Park is no exception. The Gold Mine Trail offers hiking at its best, and time spent at Bathing Beach is always good. A river like this is too good to miss. A tour to Scott's Run wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Yellow Falls. Near Scott's Run you hit upon Mather Gorge which is a perfect location to visit, and Scott's Run is not far at all from Vienna. Scott's Run is in the neighborhood of George Washington's Grist Mill Historic State Park which is a wonderful site.
