The scenic beauty of Waynesboro City / Rockingham County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Briefly about the general area: South River is a site with many visitors from Crimora; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Wildcat Ridge Trail. So much amusing stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just astonishing. While staying at South River you could always look at Dorsey Hanger Hollow, and do take a hike on the Rocks Mountain Trail.
