The natural beauty of Jefferson/Clallam County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. This stretch of Bogachiel River in Jefferson/Clallam County is 5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II section. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. Whether     you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Washington is often more difficult than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's perfect for a one day trip. The Park Boundary to Highway 101 stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Whitewater paddling here in the Olympic Mountains   is a great experience. Briefly about the general area: Going for a hike on the Rugged Ridge Trail is always a great adventure, and if you want to hit the beach, Ruby Beach is in the neighborhood. Yeah, come up here to the Olympic Mountains for a fine time. Go for a hike on the Pass Trail, and on a great day it's a splendid idea to spend the day at Boulder Beach. This river is so great. A visit to Bogachiel State Park when you're here at Bogachiel River is never a bad idea; this is a popular place for people from Beaver. During the summertime months at Bogachiel River highs are generally in the 60's.
