This stretch of Canyon Creek - Lewis River Tributary in Washington is 3.2 miles long and has been rated as a class IV+ section     by American Whitewater. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling places. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This is a short paddling stretch so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Fly Creek to Merwin Reservoir section is one of them. Briefly about the general area: Battle Ground Lake State Park is a good spot to check out; there's tremendous hiking along the Siouxon Trail. If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Cascade Range.
