  If you're coming from Mount Vernon-Anacortes it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, as you can see on the road map further down. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Washington tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. The beautiful scenery of Washington and the water flowing gracefully down Canyon Creek South
    Fork Stillaguamish Tributary beats anything. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end
up sleeping in your car. This stretch of Canyon Creek South Fork Stillaguamish Tributary is 1.3 miles long and it is classified as a class IV-V section by American Whitewater. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. The Fishing Access site to South Fork Stillaguamish stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. This is an extremely short section so you'd better  
be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. When you're paddling down a Northern Cascade Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for that around here.
