| River section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The starting location is a short drive from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, as you can see on the road map further down. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. so you'd better keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.

about the general area: The nice people of Orting like to hang out close by, and a trip here wouldn’t be complete without a visit to nearby Flaming Geyser State Park. An average amount of rainfall falls at Carbon River.
