The wonderful Lewis County scenery and the playfulness of the water beats anything. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good places. This section is quite short so better bring some good walking shoes. Whitewater paddling here in the Olympic Mountains is a great experience. The average Washington whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the   sections here are not safe for beginners. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here.
