The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Wenatchee, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Washington tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. get some distance, it's perfect for a one day trip. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you won't find a large number of other spots. No shortage of good hotels, but if you don’t have reservations you
| might end up sleeping in your car. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This section of Chelan River in Chelan County is 4 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class IV-V section of whitewater.

about the general area: You're sure to encounter some fine people from Chelan Falls here, and a short trip to Beebe Springs is always worthwhile. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Echo Valley, and North Beebe Spring is
an inspiring place to pop by while you're here. This is a really good river. Lake Chelan State Park is worth taking a look at if you're at Chelan River; on a lovely day you can check out Minneapolis Beach. Chelan River is
near Daybreak Canyon which is definitely worth taking a look at. Alta Lake State Park is a tremendous place to go if you're at Chelan River. During the summertime months at Chelan River temperatures are usually in the 80's.
