The nature scenery of Okanogan County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often tougher than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are less forgiving. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve |
in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The put-in is not too far from Wenatchee, as you can see on the road map further down. This section of Chewuch River is 5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a
| class IV-V section. This stretch has has enough mileage, it's good length for a morning trip. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of spots for that. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. The campgrounds here at Chewuch River are pretty good. Twentymile Trail which is a good hiking trail. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Northern Cascade Range has to offer. A spree to Chewuch River wouldn’t be complete without a tour to nearby Pearrygin
Lake State Park. The North Fork Twentymile Trail is a glorious hiking trail close to Chewuch River. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Chewuch River.
