  The starting location is a short drive from Hood River, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The scenic beauty of Washington and the water flowing gracefully down Cispus River - North Fork have people coming here. The FR 22 Bridge to North Fork Campground stretch of Cispus River - North Fork in Washington is 2.7 miles long and is a class IV-V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. And of course,
    there are campgrounds nearby. The beautiful Northern Cascade Range scenery is an added bonus. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so keep in mind that
a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This is a bit of a short stretch so you'd better  
be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here.

Briefly about the general area:
Don't leave Cispus River - North Fork without first going for a hike along the Klickitat Trail. People from Packwood love to come to Cispus River - North Fork; when you're here it's always fun to explore Gifford Pinchot National Forest. This is such a great river. There's glorious hiking along the Dry Creek Trail. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Cispus River - North Fork.
