The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often more challenging than in other states, so don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. The Waterfall to Cle Elum River stretch of Cooper River in Washington is 1.5 miles long and is a class IV-V section of whitewater according to American     Whitewater. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This is a pretty short section so better bring some good walking shoes. The Waterfall to Cle Elum River stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. The beautiful scenery of Kittitas County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. A good workout and   just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. Briefly about the general area: There's tremendous hiking along the Red Mountain Trail, and do put some time aside to spend at Little Salmon la Sac if you're here at Cooper River. Man, is there loads of entertaining stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Cooper River is not far at all from Easton, and you positively ought to go to Lake Easton State Park if you're here. The surroundings of this river have so much to offer. A journey to Salmon la Sac will fill your soul with great feelings.
