Says City of Toledo (see picture)

The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often tougher than
in other states, so don't forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. The salmon hatchery to Blue Creek access section of Cowlitz River in Washington is 10 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater
according to American Whitewater. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. If you're coming from
Centralia it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, as you can see on the road map further down. The wild scenery of the Northern Cascade Range is great. The salmon hatchery to Blue Creek access section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. The beautiful scenery of Washington and the playfulness of the water beats anything. You can enjoy this stretch more if you take your time, so why not pack your camping stuff too. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came.

Briefly about the general area:
Seaquest State Park is a good place to take a look at, and during your journey here you'll meet some folks from Onalaska for sure.
