The put-in is not too far from Mount Vernon-Anacortes, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This section of Day Creek in Washington is 5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class IV-V(V+) section of whitewater. day trip. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. Whitewater paddling here in the Northern Cascade Range is a great experience. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking

Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. Briefly about the general area: You might want to pay a visit to Rocky Canyon while you're here at Day Creek. The Gee Point
Trail offers hiking at its best, and Lake Chelan National Recreation Area is a very splendid location to go to. This river is so good. You're sure to encounter some good people from Mount Vernon-Anacortes here. For the period
of the warm months highs here at Day Creek get into the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's while Day Creek night low temperatures through the winter are in the 30's.
