CLASS IV+     3 miles
  The beautiful scenery of Chelan County and the water flowing gracefully down Entiat River make the trip here worthwhile. The Lake Creek Campground to National Forest boundary section of Entiat River is 3 miles long and is a class IV+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Washington is often tougher than elsewhere, so better not forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving.
    This is a short paddling stretch so no need to bring snacks. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up
quick. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Wenatchee, as you can see on the road map further down. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling places. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. Whitewater paddling here in the Northern Cascade Range is a great  
experience. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby.

Briefly about the general area:
On a wonderful day at Entiat River you can take a hike along the Devils Backbone Trailbike Loop Trail; Box Canyon is a pleasant place to stop by. So much amusing stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range, not sufficient time. While you're here at Entiat River you can take a hike along the Hunters Trail. Entiat River gets a typical amount of rainfall. December is the wettest month with most snow, and July meanwhile is the driest month. For the period of the warm months here at Entiat River, high temperatures mostly reach the 70's.
