This stretch of Goodman Creek is 1.3 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III+(V) section. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. This is a very short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. Whitewater paddling here in the Olympic Mountains is a great experience. No shortage of good hotels, but you'd better reserve   in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Briefly about the general area: At Goodman Creek you always meet someone from Port Angeles; why not take a refreshing hike along the Aurora Trail. Man, is there heaps of entertaining stuff to do in the Olympic Mountains. Goodman Creek is right by the Bogachiel Trail. For the period of the summer, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Goodman Creek. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Goodman Creek dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. Goodman Creek gets a good deal of water.
