Spokane Whitman county, Upper section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.

CLASS II-III+(IV)     10 miles
The beautiful scenery of Washington and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. If you're coming from Spokane it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, as you can see on the road map further down. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so don't forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging
out with mother nature are great reasons to come. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Since you're on this site you
are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. You can enjoy this section more if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff. The Upper section of Hangman Creek in Spokane/Whitman County is 10 miles long and is a class II-III+(IV) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you
want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
