If you're coming from Spokane it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, as you can see on the road map further down. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so don't forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. Briefly about the general area: Lots of people from Valleyford come to Hangman Creek, and while you're here
you can take a hike along the John Wayne Trail - Tekoa Section. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Hangman Creek, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs
are in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Hangman Creek drop into the 20's. Hangman Creek is usually a pretty dry spot.
