The Hoko Falls Run stretch of Hoko River in Clallam County is 8.3 miles long and is a class II-III(IV) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. The average     Washington whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The beautiful scenery of Clallam County and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. This stretch has has enough mileage, it's good length for a morning trip. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Hoko Falls Run section is one of them. The beauty of the Olympic   Mountains is a great plus for this river. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. Briefly about the general area: A delightful place to go to near Hoko River is Blue Canyon, and a day at Third Beach is time well spent. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Olympic Mountains. Hoko River is a spot with many visitors from Sekiu, and a great beach close by is Chito Beach. This river is always fun. Bogachiel State Park is a tremendous place to stretch your legs a bit. Hoko River usually gets a great deal of precipitation.
