The put-in location is a short drive from Ellensburg, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so better not forget that a lot of     the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. The Ida Creek to Snow Creek trailhead stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system. The scenic beauty of Chelan County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The wild scenery of the Northern Cascade Range is great. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling spots. This stretch   has has enough mileage, it's good length for a morning trip. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. There's camping available near Icicle Creek. Briefly about the general area: Lake Wenatchee State Park is a good site to go if you're at Icicle Creek, and hiking along the Snow Lakes Trail is wonderful fun. Be careful coming to the Northern Cascade Range, you might not ever wanna go home again. Here at Icicle Creek you'll perhaps meet some folks from Leavenworth, and Icicle Creek is right by the Icicle Trail. This is such a fun river.
