at all to the put-in location, as you can see on the road map further down. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to
drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The wild scenery of the Northern Cascade Range is great. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling places. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Washington you might
find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. This stretch is mid length, you can easily run it on an afternoon.

Briefly about the general area:
Seaquest State Park is both nice and pretty, and it's in the neighborhood of Kalama River, and Kalama River is right by the Georges Peak Trail. So many entertaining things to do in the Northern Cascade Range, not enough time. You'll meet a lot of people from Longview-Kelso here, and while you're here here do pop by nearby Goble Beach. Lots of fun awaits you along this river.
