A good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. There are plenty of other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. Briefly about the general area: A fine location like Rooster Rock State Park near Lewis River - East Fork is too wonderful to leave out, and don't leave Lewis River - East Fork without first paying a visit to Summit Spring. You definitely should have a thing about the Northern Cascade Range. A trip to Shepperds Dell State Park when you're here at Lewis River - East Fork is a good idea, and going for a hike along the Horseshoe Ridge Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region.
